know matter how hard, I do seem to try,
I get left with the answers, that leave me wand’ring why.
but I know it’s all, just apart of your plan,
no matter what happens, behind you i’ll stand.
I pray you be my umbrella, as I walk thru this rain,
and that you keep your arms around me Lord, until I feel no pain.
I know i’ve been slipping Lord, back into my ways,
but here I come again Lord, please guide me thru lifes maze.
I can’t always see, exactly where i’m going,
because I take my eyes off of you Lord, suddenly i’m the all knowing.
I ask that you keep me, out of the way of me,
I ask that you give me your eyes, so thru your eyes I may see.
a little bit selfish, I guess it may be,
but as for today Lord, I ask of prayers for me.
These are my prayers Lord, I place them on heaven’s mantle,
not for my will Lord, but that your’s I can handle.

Keep fighting the fight, Shaun. Remember you have been given the power to overcome the temptations of this life. You’ve come too far to go back now. Besides, there’s nothing back there worth returning to.
God has a plan for you. This may be your wilderness time, like Moses, a time of preparation, when you have nothing to distract you from your relationship with the Lord. He’s given you a precious gift of time to spend with Him. He’ll let you move on in His time. Until then, each day is a gift.
These posts are encouraging to so many, because they are so transparent. Just as God allowed us to see the people in the Bible in all their human weakness as well as their supernatural strengths. You aren’t afraid to be real. We struggle with you, and are encouraged that we are not alone in our struggles. But we do have a guarantee of victory.

When will Shaun realize that Shaun is in charge of Shaun? There is no magic helper and the only way forward is to get off his butt and do something positive. Drugs, alcohol and bad behavior don’t solve anything.
